WPP names Laurent Ezekiel Ogilvy CEO, elevates Devika Bulchandani to COO

WPP has named Laurent Ezekiel CEO of Ogilvy and Devika Bulchandani COO, as part of a global leadership realignment to boost growth and client offerings across creative, data, and technology.

WPP has announced a significant leadership realignment aimed at sharpening its global growth strategy and strengthening its client offerings across creative, data, and technology.

Laurent Ezekiel has been appointed CEO of Ogilvy Group and will also serve as executive sponsor for WPP Open X. In his new role, Ezekiel will oversee the network’s integrated marketing capabilities spanning advertising, public relations, social and influence, consulting, customer engagement, health, and creative boutiques including DAVID, INGO, NCA, Thjnk and Village Marketing. Ogilvy’s structure now also includes Grey, which was brought into the network in May 2025 under WPP’s strategic reorganisation.

Ezekiel moves into the role after leading WPP Open X for The Coca-Cola Company, the industry’s largest-ever global agency partnership. Since its inception in 2021, Open X has supported Coca-Cola’s marketing transformation across 200 brands in 195 countries, delivering initiatives such as Studio X. The partnership helped Coca-Cola secure “Brand of the Year” at Cannes Lions 2024.

At WPP, Devika Bulchandani has been named chief operating officer. She will focus on commercialising services across WPP agencies, driving “frictionless” growth for clients, and overseeing country managers, global client leaders, and growth teams.

Floriane Tripolino has been appointed CEO of WPP Open X, succeeding Ezekiel. Her mandate is to build on the partnership model with Coca-Cola, renewed in May 2025, and scale marketing innovation for the beverage giant.

Commenting on the appointments, WPP CEO Cindy Rose said: “These changes underscore WPP’s commitment to delivering unparalleled value and innovation. Laurent’s leadership of Open X and Devika’s obsession with client growth are critical as we enter our next phase. Their combined expertise ensures we stay ahead in a fast-changing market.”

Bulchandani, who has led Ogilvy since 2022, said she was “immensely proud” of the agency’s progress and confident Ezekiel would continue to drive creative excellence alongside Chief Creative Officer Liz Taylor.

Ezekiel called it “an immense honour” to lead Ogilvy, pledging to build on David Ogilvy’s legacy with a focus on modern marketing and innovation. Tripolino described her new role as “an energising opportunity” to expand WPP’s partnership with Coca-Cola.
