Chef Kunal Kapur Brings Saudi’s Culinary Soul to India With The Saudi Table in Delhi NCR

Through Kapur’s curation, diners will experience Saudi’s culinary evolution—its coastal influences from the Hijaz, its inland trade-city traditions, and the modern interpretations emerging from its new generation of chefs

Chef Kunal Kapur, one of India’s most influential culinary storytellers, brings his signature touch to The Saudi Table. In partnership with the Saudi Tourism Authority’s consumer brand, Saudi, Welcome to Arabia, Kapur has curated this limited-edition culinary residency at One8 Commune, Golf Course Road, Gurgaon—an experience designed not just to feed diners, but to introduce them to the evolving soul of Saudi gastronomy.

Kunal Kapur’s Curated Culinary Journey

At the residency, Kapur’s touch is evident in every detail—from the careful curation of spice-forward indulgences to the elegant reinvention of beloved street classics. Guests will experience a vibrant spread featuring za’atar, pomegranate molasses, Madinah dates, saffron, and aromatic herbs.

His small plates celebrate the warmth of Saudi home cooking: grilled halloumi, aubergine, stuffed chicken wings, lamb koftas, and Gulf-style seafood—each dish crafted for sharing, echoing the communal spirit Kapur believes is at the heart of Saudi hospitality.

Large plates draw directly from ceremonial traditions. Kapur revisits kabsa, mansaf, and saffron rice with seafood, presenting them with the elegance and balance he is known for. Even the desserts—rose-and-pistachio panna cotta, date-and-almond creations, and decadent Baklava—carry his signature style: rooted in authenticity but elevated through craft.

An Experience That Mirrors Kapur’s Philosophy

More than a menu, The Saudi Table mirrors Kapur’s long-standing culinary philosophy: food is a catalyst for discovery. The residency is designed with unhurried movement—guests can sit and mingle while experiencing dishes the way they are meant to be enjoyed in Saudi culture: with conversation, curiosity, and connection.

A Window Into Saudi’s Modern Culinary Identity

Through Kapur’s curation, diners will experience Saudi’s culinary evolution—its coastal influences from the Hijaz, its inland trade-city traditions, and the modern interpretations emerging from its new generation of chefs. From the tang of pomegranate in the bite-sized Halloumi cubes wrapped in aubergine to the saffron-scented rice served during festive gatherings, each dish reflects a country where cuisine is both a memory and a living narrative.

Open to the Public: 12–17 December 2025

The Saudi Table will be open for public exploration from 12 to 17 December 2025 at One8 Commune, Golf Course Road, Gurgaon, inviting food enthusiasts, cultural travellers, and curious diners to experience a rare blend of storytelling and gastronomy through the lens of Chef Kunal Kapur.

This experience is a celebration of shared history, culinary kinship, and the transformative power of food to connect worlds.
