Sychedelic: India’s First Neurotech-Driven Headphone Brand Aims to Redefine Functional Wellness

Sychedelic, from Neuphony founders, launched India's first AI-powered neurotech closed-loop headphones for functional wellness. They use neuromodulation & binaural audio to actively improve focus, sleep, & relaxation. Expanding globally by Dec 2025.

The founders behind Neuphony — the brain wearable that made waves on Shark Tank India — are back with a bolder mission. Entrepreneurs Ria Rustagi and Bhavya Madan have launched Sychedelic, an AI-powered neurotech brand building the world’s first closed-loop headphones designed to actively improve mental wellness.

Unlike Neuphony, which tracked brain activity to help users understand their mental states, Sychedelic takes the next leap — from measurement to modulation. The headphones use AI-driven neuromodulation combined with binaural audio therapy to guide the brain into desired states of focus, relaxation, or deep sleep. The device doubles up as a high-end audio product with spatial sound and active noise cancellation, but its true innovation lies in what it does for the mind.

“We didn’t just want to tell people what’s wrong — we wanted to help them fix it,” said Rustagi, who built Sychedelic while raising a one-year-old child. “The wellness tech industry has long focused on data tracking. Now it’s about creating technology that helps people feel better in real time.”

Launched softly in August 2025, Sychedelic gained national visibility after being featured on Zee TV’s Ideabaaz in November — where the company secured investment from Turbostart, a prominent venture accelerator. The episode drove a sharp surge in web traffic, sales, and investor interest, with the brand reporting 30% month-on-month growth since.

Globally, the wearable wellness market is witnessing explosive growth, driven by pioneers like Bryan Johnson’s Blueprint and Ultrahuman. However, as the company claims, its positioning is distinct — it’s the first neurotechnology company from India to build D2C products for the world, integrating both neuroscience and AI into a single, self-regulating wearable.

“In the U.S., companies working on similar neuro-intervention technologies are already clocking over $20 million in annual revenue,” noted Madan. “But we’re the first to bring such a closed-loop system to headphones — a device that doesn’t just detect stress or fatigue, but solves it in the same moment.”

Backed by a multidisciplinary team of neuroscientists, engineers, and psychologists, Sychedelic’s roadmap includes expanding to the U.S. market by December 2025 and developing new wearables addressing women’s health, including postpartum recovery and menopause.

As Rustagi and Madan put it, Sychedelic isn’t just another wearable — it’s a science-led wellness movement built from India for the global stage.

“For us, the future of consumer tech lies in functional wellness,” said Rustagi. “If our devices can help people self-regulate, sleep better, and find calm amidst chaos — that’s the real innovation.”

With its Shark Tank roots, Ideabaaz-backed funding, and export-ready technology, Sychedelic is positioning itself at the intersection of neuroscience and consumer wellness, marking a turning point in how Indian startups approach longevity and mental performance.
